Champions Are Readers
Champions are Readers® (CAR) is Pi Phi’s reading enrichment program for students in pre-kindergarten through third grade. Thousands of students across the United States and Canada, including schools local to Fayetteville, have participated in the program. Designed to create an interactive reading and mentoring relationship between Pi Phis and children from their local communities, CAR engages children in a positive reading experience and allows participants to accommodate students’ varying academic needs.
Pi Phi & Fayetteville Elementary Schools
Arkansas Alpha Pi Phi has dedicated our time and our hearts to make a difference in the lives of young students within our community. We are blessed to be able to directly serve our community every day. In Fayetteville, you can find our sisters in elementary schools serving as lunch buddies, library buddies, and pre-k buddies. These relationships offer friendship and encouragement to students who could benefit from a positive role model. Those who serve as library buddies help students foster a love of reading. Through these meaningful connections, Pi Beta Phi women not only support academic success but also uplift and inspire the next generation with kindness, leadership, and unwavering dedication.
